Grandma's Warm Breakfast Fruit
3 cooking apples, cored, peeled and thickly sliced
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
3/4 cup raisins
1/2 cup dried plums, chopped
3 cups plus 3 Tbsp water, divided
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 Tbsp cornstarch
Combine fruit and 3 cups water in a saucepan over med heat, bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 10 min. Stir in sugar and cinnamon. In a small bowl, mix together cornstarch and remaining water; stir into fruit mix. Bring to a boil stirring constantly; cook for 2 min.
Serve warm or cold.
